A Weekend for Your Writing

Three days. A little community. About six hours for your writing.

November 13–15, 2026 | Online

When was the last time you gave your writing a whole weekend of attention?

Not a few minutes squeezed between other commitments. Not a promise that you'll get to it when things settle down. Actual time to sit down, open the notebook or document, and see what happens.

A Weekend for Your Writing is a mostly self-directed writing weekend designed to help you make that time.

You'll have a little structure, optional opportunities to write alongside other people, and encouragement to keep going. You choose what you work on, when you write, and how you spend your time.

The goal is to find about six hours for your writing over the weekend. You can spread those hours out however works for you.

And if you don't make it to six hours? You still get to celebrate every minute you spent writing.

How the weekend works

Friday, November 13 | 7–8 p.m. ET

Kick-off and planning

We'll gather online to set intentions, think about what we want to work on, and make a realistic plan for the weekend. We'll also do a short writing activity to get things started.

Saturday, November 14 | 9–10:00 a.m. ET

Optional co-writing session

Bring your project and join us for a little focused writing time. We'll use two 20-minute writing blocks, with a short break and check-in.

Sunday, November 15 | 10–11:00 a.m. ET

Optional co-writing session

Let's keep going! Return to your project, try something new, or use the company to get unstuck.

Sunday, November 15 | 5–6 p.m. ET

Celebration

We'll gather one last time to reflect on the weekend, share favourite lines or discoveries if we wish, and celebrate the time we've made for our writing.

You don't have to attend every session to participate. The live gatherings are there to support your writing, not take over your weekend.

What you'll receive

Your registration includes:

  • A Friday kick-off and Sunday celebration.

  • Two optional co-writing sessions.

  • A simple weekend schedule and writing tracker.

  • Encouragement and opportunities to connect with other writers.

  • A printable congratulations certificate to celebrate your writing hours.

You'll have a place to plan your writing time, track the hours you spend, and recognize what you've accomplished. This weekend isn't about hitting a word count or finishing a project. It's about giving your writing the time and attention it deserves.

What will you work on?

Whatever you want!

Bring the novel you've been picking away at, the essays waiting in a folder, the poems in your notebook, the memoir you've been thinking about, or a completely new idea. You don't need to have a project underway. You don't need to know exactly what you're writing. You just need to be curious about what might happen if you give yourself some time.
